Delivered from a religious spirit bigotry

How the Lord Delivered Me from a Religious Spirit and Bigotry.

Introduction:

Religious spirit and bigotry can be defined as a mentality that emphasizes external rules and regulations, while disregarding the love and grace of God. This type of mentality can lead to a judgmental and critical attitude towards others, and can prevent individuals from experiencing true freedom in Christ. The purpose of this booklet is to share the story of how the Lord delivered me from a religious spirit and bigotry, and to encourage others to seek freedom from these attitudes through a deeper understanding of God's love and grace.

Chapter 1: My Journey with a Religious Spirit

Growing up in a religious background, I had been taught to follow a set of rules and regulations in order to please God and earn His favor. However, despite my efforts, I still felt condemned and lacking in my spiritual walk. It wasn't until I encountered the truth of God's love and grace through studying the Bible and attending a church that emphasizes the gospel, that I began to understand the freedom that Christ offers.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." This verse helped me to realize that my efforts to please God through good works could never earn me His favor, and that it is only through His grace and my faith in Jesus Christ that I am saved.

Chapter 2: Deliverance from Bigotry

Along with my journey with a religious spirit, I also struggled with bigotry, as I had been taught to judge and condemn others who were different from me. It wasn't until I began to understand the love of God and the grace that He offers to all people, regardless of their background or beliefs, that I was able to overcome my bigotry and see others with love and compassion.

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." This verse helped me to understand that God loves all people and desires to save them, regardless of their background or beliefs.

Chapter 3: A Message of Hope

Through my journey of being delivered from a religious spirit and bigotry, I have learned that true freedom and fulfillment in Christ comes from a deeper understanding of God's love and grace. I encourage others who may be struggling with similar attitudes to seek freedom through a deeper understanding of the gospel and to allow the love of God to transform their hearts and minds.

Colossians 3:1-2 says, "If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." This verse reminds us to set our minds and hearts on the things of God and to allow His love to transform our attitudes and perspectives.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the story of how the Lord delivered me from a religious spirit and bigotry is a testimony of God's love and grace. Through my journey, I have learned that true freedom and fulfillment in Christ comes from a deeper understanding of God's love and grace, and that it is through this understanding that we can overcome attitudes of judgment, condemnation, and bigotry. May this booklet encourage and inspire others to seek freedom from these attitudes and to allow the love of God to transform their lives.
